Dr Rhiann Sue See

Dr Rhiann Sue See is a descendant of the Waanyi people and was born in Cairns, Queensland. She is a Geriatrician working at Cairns Hospital as well as an early researcher with the Healthy Ageing Research Team (HART) at James Cook University. Her main research interests lie in improving brain health and care of older First Nations Australians. Rhiann was awarded the RM Gibson Prize in 2023 for her Advanced Training project examining potentially modifiable dementia risk factors in First Nations and non-First Nations Australians. Rhiann is  currently completing PhD studies in which she hopes to co-design a program for First Nations Australians living with a Mild Cognitive Impairment in the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area, for which she is a recipient of the Queensland Health Clinical Research Fellowship."
