Prof Renuka Visvanathan
Professor Renuka Visvanathan is Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Adelaide and has been the Head of Unit of Geriatric Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide since 2005. She is a Fellow of the Australian Association of Gerontology and the Australia and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine. In 2022, she was recognised as one of 50 Healthy Ageing leaders transforming the world to be a better place to grow older in as part of the of the United Nation’s Healthy Ageing Decade. She is a current member of the World Health Organisation’s Clinical Consortium in Healthy Ageing and Global Network on Long Term Care. She is Associate Editor of the Journal of Frailty and Ageing. Between 2015 and 2022, she was the Project Lead to the National Health and Medical Research Council Centre of Research Excellence in Frailty and Healthy Ageing.
